Been awhile, stranger...
Yeah, sorry... I'm a prick, what can I say...
I dunno if I should even bother to read what you're going to write here. Hell, why have I been checking regularly all this time in the first place? You show up after months of absence, and I'm just supposed to grin like a jackass, welcome you back and keep reading the piddle that streams from your mind?!
Now, now... calm down... I have a good explanation, honest!

This oughta be good...
Okay... see things kinda got real busy back a few months ago. See, I decided to start looking for a home. And when I make that kind of decision, I don't do it by halves. So it was taking a lot of my time.
And hey, guess what?! After a month or so of looking, and one failed bid, I got a place! And a great place at that... everything I ever wanted!!
And the owner wanted a quick closing, which I was willing to do, so there followed a solid month of packing, preparing, arranging new services at the new place, getting a moving truck, cajoling/arm-twisting friends into helping me, mortgages, home owners insurance... endless, endless...
And then I moved in about two weeks ago! A hellishly hot day, with much back-breaking labour (thank god for all the help!)
And now, the last two weeks spent UNpacking everything again... arranging, being at home to get deliveries of various appliances and services, etc.
Hell, just this evening I did some pre-shopping for saturday (ye olde big tax-free day) when I will be buying an entire living room!
I tried to find a total setup, complete with wallpaper already in-place that I could just squeeze into the room, no assembly required (batteries not included, void where prohibited).
Sadly, such did not exist. But I did find a good couch and recliner that I will likely be getting on saturday, as well as the SUPER COLOSSAL MONKEY DEATHCAR MANLY TELEVISION.
I believe that saturday will go down in the annals of my life as the third most expensive day of my life (after the house closing and my current car purchase). But hell, after buying a home, what's a couple of grand between friends?
ANYway...
That's what I've been doing. I'm sorry, so very, very sorry for neglecting you. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?
I don't know... I just don't know... I can tell you this much buster... You're sleeping on the couch tonight!

Ah well. Next entry (probably sunday), I'm going to do the intro to the political segment of this blog. Gonna lay out my beliefs, politics, etc, etc, as a precursor to starting a discussion on the subject and also talk a bit about an idea I'm starting to have.
